Hi , Just go to conrol panel and go to programs and features there and uninstall dell datasafe local backup, software support and dell datasafe backup online and dell ebay and restart the computer. It will be fixed.
You probably went to Programs and Features and uninstalled VideoStage... I also think that the Stage thumbnails on the bottom of the desktop is annoying. Unfortunately, DELL doesn't give you an easy way to hide Stage during system startup... The only solution I have is for you to reinstall DELL Stage or install the Operating System from recovery (press F8 at startup & install the factory default OS). Once you have DELL Stage reinstalled, go to C:\Windows\System32\msconfig.exe. Open msconfig.exe, go to the startup tab, and uncheck stage_primary & stage Remote Manager... Reboot, then you will have Stage installed for whenever you might want to use it, which would probably be never, and you will not have to be looking at the stupid thumbnails which DELL is forcing onto its customers!!!

10alison,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
You can go into the control panel and uninstall the program. If you need to reinstall go to DatasafeOnline.com and download the program.

Thanks Jesse - I just removed Dell Datasafe and I'm still getting the following error message when starting the computer:
STService.exe - Unable to Locate Component
This application has failed to start because STLog.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
What am I supposed to re-install/uninstall to fix this?
Thanks,
alison

Hi - haven't heard from anyone (particularly from Dell) - any recommendations on how to correct this? I need to fix my computer today.
Thanks

Hi Alison,
I found the below in a different forum. Hope it's helpful. Not sure what to do after that, but good luck.
