Start up disk check

Question

Help! I have never seen this before. I started my computer and the next thing I know it says I have scheduled a disk check. I never schedule anything on the computer and can't figure out how/why it has started all of a sudden. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you run chkdsk /f recently? If so, it runs on next boot.

No. Haven't done anything out of the ordinary. It came up on a light blue background screen saying this was a scheduled disk check. Had 5 stages. It gave me 9 seconds to bypass it.
