Startup Issues

My windows crashed thismorning, i reinstalled using the supplied disk. Now on restart its very slow and a grey progress bar that was never there before appears on a blank screen durring restart. Any ideas of why this is and how to fix it would be great.

No, Windows starts fine, it just takes a good five minutes to do so. Any ideas on how to check and see if its in some type of hybernation mode and dissable it if it is set that way?

It sounds to me like the same progress bar the appears when you restart your computer after it is put into hibernation mode, this might mean that since your problem occored and you fixed it your version of windows was put into a mode where it saves data before shutting down to ensure that the problem doesnt happen again, this isnt nesasarily a problem, but does this stop you from starting up windows fully?

Ok i just restarted and heres the sequence of events.
The typical windows boot up logo appears, the screen then goes black for a moment and the gray progress bar appears ( its a broken progress bar close to the bottom of the screen, and covers the width of the screen ) after the bar finishes about 75% or so the Windows boot up logo appears again and then windows starts.

I Dont think it is in hibernation mode but its a good posiblilty, have you tryed restarting windows and seeing if it appears again, after doing this if it does tell me if it says anything near the gray progress bar
