STOP 0x0000008e - bluescreen error message help!!
Hello, all! I have been getting a STOP bluescreen message repeatedly at random times while I am on my computer (it is rarely at boot up or shut-down btw). The blue screen was never up long enough for me to find a camera and take a picture, but I went into the "Computer Management" thingie and this is what 2 errors I found:
and....
It is getting really annoying because it happens at least once a day! I have a Dell Inspiron E1405 running Windows Vista Home Premium. Recently I had to get an external hard drive because my hard drive was completely full! (I sure love my music!) It is a Maxtor Onetouch III Firewire 400/USB 2.0.
Not sure if all that info is necessary or if you need more, but if anyone can offer me any help, I would REALLY appreciate it! As a college student I practically live on my laptop so I will love you forever if you can help me fix this problem! :D
xoxoxo,
Leah

Is your hard drive on your laptop still full?
Or have you moved information onto your external drive??
If it's still almost full I would try moving a lot more off of it.
I would also then do a De-fragment on c: drive (right-click it, go to properties, go to the Tools tab and the defragment should be an option there...If not look up windows help on how to Defragment a drive).
From there if this is still an issue go to support.dell.com and get into a chat with a support person directly who should be able to help diagnose the issue.

I'm not sure if that is still too full or not?? Also, I have done a de-frag recently. It is also set to do one once a week.
