Stop: 0x0000008E & win32k.sys Errors and SOLUTION (maby)

SOLUTION

This problem is NOT RAM.  This problem is to do with ATI Catalyst Controll Center 7.3 software.  AMD/ATI are working on a solution, there are two solutions on the following website, one being a hot fix:

This HotFix worked for me.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

I have upgraded from Windows XP Media Center (which was very stable, no blue screens) to Windows Vista Home Premium and I am getting the BlueScreen error during Windows boot just before the desktop is displayed.
I have to boot in safe mode,  windows automatically trys to find a solution then I restart normally.  Then Windows says it has blocked start up program "system configuration utility".  Doing this seems to let me start normally.  Then next time I start the computer it crashes again.  Problem not fixed.

What can I do about this, are there any solutions?
Why does it work after I re-boot in safe mode then restart in normal mode?
What is win32k.sys?
Should I disable something?
Any diagnosis software i should be running?

Ok, so it sounds like a startup program is may be causing this. Use MSConfig to disable all the non-MS startup items and services. If the computer starts fine, start enabling things to track down the culprit.
