STOP: C000021a winlogon blue screen

Question

Hello - getting a blue screen with the above error every time when trying to shotdown the system. On the next startup windoes comes up with the standard "error report" screen, where it mentiones "uxtheme.dll" in szModName...

Any ideas appreciated

Seen that as well as anything which comes up in a straightforward search. Dr. Watson gives the same info (uxtheme.dll) - this DLL is not something I can uninstall or something... So no help there

Has something to do with the Norton go back program, it still has problems because it is still a new program, so you can use the Norton Go back to remove the program itself and then uninstall it, make sure you contact Symantec for help on how to install that program! Better get the Ghost!

newbie here, is this the right place to post?

I'm having the blue sreen problem also, spent hours on chat and not resolved. os keeps looking for sonic update mgr. ws told to uninstall roxio, did, no change and the ms infoo is geek greek to me.

HELP, did the "last known good config" no luck, i'm lost, is there a road out of these woods.

kinda disappointed, always had cheap e machines with no problems, sorry dell.

also, the roxio software with this cdrw/dvd is not listed on roxio

OK, i'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer....where are the responses???
