STOP ERROR while trying to downgrade from Vista to Xp
When I'm booting an Xp installation CD, all files & drivers are being copied up for a moment until blue screen appears. Error MSG is: STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF748E0BF, 0xF78BA208, 0xF78D9F08) PCI.SYS -address F748E0BF Base at F7487000, Date Stamp 3b7d855c then i have to restart computer. When I try to boot vista installation CD provided by DELL it all seems to be alright. Installation is finished and if works fine. All my hardware is fine as well (I've checked all possibilities. I would contact software support but it's cost money. Technical support (hardware) said - try to upgrade Your BIOS. I know it's a bit risky.... so will it actually help me solve the situation ??
