Sun JAVA and Microsoft's JVM/Question

I currently have both Sun Java and Microsoft's JVM installed. I only have Sun's Java enabled in IE. Should I uninstall JVM or can both coexist without conflicts?
Thanks.

I have both, but I don't use Sun Java in IE. It seems to run slower.

Sun Java in used for Firefox.

They can both be on the same computer without problems. You may want to wait for more experienced opinion about removing one of them.

I've read that Microsoft's JVM can be uninstalled tunning the following command:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection java.inf,UnInstall

But why uninstall it?

And why leave an unused software installed in your drive? It only adds more registry lines for nothing.
