Recently out of nowhere i have been getting generic host processes  for win32 and SVCHOST.exe Errors the error says the exception unknown software exception 0xc0000409 occured in the application at location 0x5b86a3c0. If i click ok it makes my computer seem like it isn't on the internet and i have to reboot.

The first thing I would suggest to do is to run a virus protector program. You can run any of many free ones on the net.  Also read this.

If all the scans for malware come up clean, run the XP system file checker:
click start>run
type in: sfc /scannow
(space between sfc and /)
click ok
Insert XP CD if sfc requests it and reboot when it's done.
