svhost.exe Application error

This morning we had the following error happen a couple of times.

svhost.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x745f2780"referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on Cancel to debug the program

I think the error happened twice when a reminder popped up from Outlook. But it could have been something else starting up. I clicked on Cancel to debug the program. Not sure what it was doing after that. I rebooted the computer several times after that and it didn't happen again.

The computer is an Optiplex GX280 running WindowsXP.

I've had trouble with a keyboard conflict, but it's been running all right since then. Still watching it though.

Any idea what the error message might have been caused by?

It's 'svchost' and that process appears in Task Mgr several times for various programs. I'd worry about it only if it continues to pop up. If it does come up again, try a Detect and Repair on the Outlook Help menu. Also, a complete spyware & virus  scan would be advisable, but you're probably doing that regularly.

Thanks, I'll remember what you said if we have any more problems. I might do a virus scan, but the computer is only a few weeks old, and we haven't had a problem with a virus yet. I try to be diligant with all of our computers.
