svhost.exe application error!

I am getting a screen that warns me of this error it freezes on my desktop. The full message is. svhoodt application error. the instruction at "0x7c9105f8" referenced memory at "0x00000010". the memory could not be"read". Click ok to terminate. click cancel to debug program. How do i fix this problem. My hour glass icon will not stop. So i cannot do anything.
