System File Checker, How Do I Run it?

I can run SFC /scannow and it runs fine right up to almost the very end (about 97%) Then asks for my WIN XP Pro disk. The only XP Disk I have is the one that came with my Inspiron 1705 labeled "Operating System" I tried to use it to restore the needed System Files but it will not accept it and I'm forced to cancel. How can I run SFC? Are the files on the hidden partition? How do I direct SFC to them if they are hidden?

Thanks, I should have added, SP2. My Reinstallation DVD is titled "Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 with Update Rollup 2"

hmm, I thought that MCE came with 2 cds, xp and the mce overlay but could be mistaken.

if you have a buddy with an oem xp pro sp2 cd then just try borrowing the cd to complete the process.
