System Restore failure

What might account for System Restore to fail. I had installed the Eudora mail program. Because it did some wierd things , like change font sizes having nothing to do with Eudora, I uninstalled it and went to a Restore Point just before the installation. It failed, the first time this had ever happened. I went to a Restore Point from the previous day and it failed too. What could account for this?

Frank-M,

A corrupted restore database is the usual cause. The cure is to disable system restore (using the System Restore tab in Start|Control Panel|System), rebooting, then restarting system restore.
