system restore failure

Question

system restore does not restore. It does everything it suppose to do but when computer turns itself back on it system restore failed and no changes where made, no system restore points where found. I appreciate any help. Thanks in advance

the restore is corrupted. if you turn it off then back on it will set a restore point for today.

I just found out that i had the same problem last week, no matter what restore point i would try, (even went back as far a 4 weeks), the computer would not restore and I would get same message as you, I fixed mine by installing my windows xp disc and choosing the repair windows option instead of reinstalling windows completely.
