System restore quit working?
I have XP home sp3 6400/E1505 and I tried to restore my system (failed no changes made) because I had some probs with wireless after installing "System Mechanic". Any ideas how to get my Sys Restore working again?

Only one way to repair system restore. You must open system restore configuration settings, turn it off on all drives, reboot the computer and go back a turn it on again. The System Restore files can become corrupted and won't work, so you need to clear the bad files by turning it off. It will start making new restore points that you can use in the future. Try this fix: Uninstall Sys Mechanic, reboot and run sfc /scannow to restore damaged or missing system files. Then set up your wireless connection again. I would try setting up your wireless connection first. That might correct the problem.
