System32 Folder displays at boot up

Each time I boot up, the  System32  folder displays on my desktop.  I have tried to prevent this by changing the attributes to "hidden" however this only prevents the files in the folder from showing, not the folder it's self from displaying in a window.

When I run  msconfig  to view my system configuration I don't see anything there that would cause this.  I have "normal startup" selected and was wondering if perhaps I should change that to selective, testing each process until I find the one that is causing this. Does this sound like a good idea?

Does anyone know how to correct this or why it is happening?  Everything is running fine but this is annoying and for the life of me, I just don't know how to correct it.

Thanks,
Reesa
