T V TUNER CARDS

Has anyone ran into a problem regarding the Hauppauge WinTV HVR 950. I purchase this usb t v tuner simply because it stated it was Vista ready. My problem is this, it installes ok, but according to the program and also in Media Center there is no cable signal. I installed this on an XP Media Center Machine and it works fine.

Did you install the Vista drivers for the card? You have to go to Hauppauge site to get them. They won't be on the disk. Warning: Directions are not really clear on the site. Read each page there. http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/support_hvr950.html#vista

Yes I went to the site, I think I have everything installed correct, except I just get a blue screen and a message showing there is no signal.

Is this the USB version that can support NTSC and ATSC?

If it is, I believe that Vista Media Center doesn't recognize it because it can't distinguish between the two tuners.  It should work in Vista but not in Media Center.

I remember looking at this unit I think a few weeks ago and avoided it because of this very issue.

Hope this helps

I'm having the same problem, except I can watch tv under the wintv program but cannot record.  But in Media Center I can't even get it to recognize the tuner.  If you find a solution please let me know and I will do the same.
Thanks,
