Taskbar not showing open programs

Question

In the last day, Windows has apparently decided not to show any of my open programs on the task bar. Everything works fine under different accounts on the same computer, but it is annoying because it is affecting the main log in. I have tinkered with the settings and no luck. I tried to do a system restore, and that won't even work correctly. I am stuck.

Sometimes user accounts can become corrupted. I would recommend you create a new user account and import your old data from the corrupted account to the new one. Good luck!
