The media center remote!

If you buy a computer with vista premium, does it come bundled with the remote for media center? Thanks to whoever answers.

You don't currently get a media center remote with your system that you buy. But you can buy the remote seperate from the Dell accessories section or at a good computer store online or a computer store in your kneck of the woods.

If you order the computer with a tv tuner, it will have a remote.

ok so i purchased a new Dimension 9200 w/ the ATI 256MB TV Tuner card.

Dell did not send any documentation on the Tuner or the remote.  Hookin up the remote s/b easy enuf:

- connect infrared reader to USB port
- put battery in remote and you're set!

BUT

there's another piece that came with the Remote Kit: the only way i can describe it is as an 1/8" inch jack (similar to headphone/audio) with a little red diode on the end of it.  what the heck does thsi do and who can support the endless questions i have about my Windows Media Center (i.e. instructions on the PVR function, etc).  The Dell guy told me to call MSoft (1-877-335-5767) and the MS dude said they don't support any serials with "OEM" (givewawy that it was a Dell license).

how can i use the Media Center (Centre) and watch TV but keeping the TV 'always on top'?  this was a function of my old AverMedia card (circa '98)...

help is much appreciated!
