Generally, if you have a shortcut on the desktop (or wherever) for an internet site, it is going to try and use the Default Browser to access the web. Does this actually bring up Firefox? or does it bring up Internet Explorer? or do you just get the error message and no browser?

Also, what Dell PC and What Operating System and what version of Firefox?

When I click to open a desktop icon to whatever website it's for, it brings up the browser with the message on top.  Example:  an icon to "Walmart Pharmacy" on my desktop, It opens to the website with the message on the foreground.

Many things can happen if you are not using Internet Explorer as the default browser.  Even if you have some other browser, such as FF set as default, there can still be some things that do not work exactly correct.

Since this only happens with FF, a FF forum would be the best place to try and find the answer why or a fix.
