"This Webpage Cannot Be Displayed"

I have Vista on an XPS-420. My gateway to the Internet is MSN.com. Previously I have IE7 on the computer, but a few weeks ago I installed IE9. I get frequent error  messages that the page, particularly the MSN Home page cannot, be displayed. I click on Close the Page, and then try again.
Eventually I can get it going and have no trouble pulling up other pages or sites. It seems worse if the computer hasn't been active for awhile or coming off a sleep cylcle. This last time awhile ago I needed to do a restart.

The computer had the same problem with IE7 but it seems worse with IE9. I don't think it is a connection problem, but some of the error messages hint that there might be.  MSN severed its connection with Qwest, but I am paying Qwest for my high speed connection. I have not called them yet because I wanted to find out if there is anything I can do, like resets, or some setting adjustments that will allow this system to work correctly.

I have I.E.9 and do not have a problem accessing MSN.  Although a hassle, you can delete cookies and that may help.  In I.E., open the "Internet Options" and then click on Delete Browsing History.  Select Cookies and Temporary Internet Files to be deleted.  Restart I.E.9 and try to access msn web page

Hi Fireberd:

I don't know if it is related to above or not, but every other day, or so it seems, I can the error message "DHCP Client has stopped working" Looked it up on Google and not sure if there some repair or adjustment I can do to make the problem causing the error message to go away.
