Tip: Developing ASP.NET on XP Pro with IIS 5 and VS.Net 2003 Pro

I'm pleased I found this!!

According to a well hidden posting on the asp.net website, by making a small tweak, it is apparently possible to use IIS 5 on XP Pro to develop ASP.NET 1.1 Web Apps with Visual Studio.Net 2003 Pro.

One usually needs IIS 6 which only comes with Windows Server 2003 and for us XP Pro users, this means partitioning the HD in order to run it aside XP Pro, which in turn means losing access to the built in recovery facility.

IIS 5 simply needs to be linked to .Net and MS provide a tool for doing this.
