Title bar reduced to small box!

When I click on Windows update now, my internet explorer doesn't show the whole web page anymore, but a small 1" square box containing 3 lines of title bar icons. The 'minimize', 'restore' and 'close' icons on the top line; the 'windows flag' icon underneath and then File & Edit underneath that.

Although all I need to do is click the 'restore' icon to maximize the page, I don't understand why my internet explorer has started presenting web pages this way?  Any solutions?

Hi,

Try this

1.Close any open IE windows.
2.Open IE, right click on a link in the page you opened, and select Open in New Window from the context menu.
3.Resiz the new window to the size you want all IE windows to be when you open them by clicking a link.
4.Hold down the Shift key and click the Close icon (X) at the top right of the window to close the new window.
5.Resize the first window you opened to the size you want IE to be when you launch the browser. Close it by holding down Shift and clicking the Close icon.
Now your IE windows should open in the sizes you've set,
