TPM Legacy Mode

I am trying to Initialize TPM on windows 8.1 and it is saying..

"Your TPM is currently running in Legacy mode. If you'd like to use TPM application for this version of Windows, Please contact your administrator."

Now I have clear TPM once. Disable and enable it in BIOS still no change. I am using UEFI bios and secure boot is enabled. Can someone suggest how can I enable TPM coz I need to encrypt my hard drive without TPM it is a very hard thing to do.

My laptop is Latitude E6530.

1. Open Regedit.

2. Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\TPM

 Navigate to: DWORD: OSManagedAuthLevel

3. Change the value from 0 to 4 (decimal)

4. Reboot. TPM should be available to work with now.

5. Read Link Source: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj679889.aspx  Be sure to understand the consequences of where the TPM authorization is stored.

Maybe your Laptop doesnt have a TPM you can ask that to our dell Technical Support Hotline

Dial 1 800 456 33 55 then say Tech Support to the operator then provide yung Express Service Code ( black sticker with white markings ussually at the bottom of your laptop)

TPM is a chip that is installed to the motherboard and it can be identified by Technical Representatives of Dell if you have purchased a TPM to your System or Not.

I love it when people blame a company that has nothing to do with an issue. This happened on my Sony as well and they have no answer either. So I called Microsoft. They have no answer. I should have known better to upgrade until all the bugs are worked out. I did this with service packs for years. Thanks MS.
