Unable to open some files

Some files that I receive in e-mails can not be opened and I get a popup that states......"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Creat an association in the  Set association control panel".

I am unable to find this 'control panel' anywhere.............

any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

beachbumfromoz,

Thankyou for the reply. .doc seem to be the files that I can't open.

I just downloaded 'powerpoint 2007 viewer but that didn't help????

Some examples would be handy.

Common ones are like .pps & .doc. PowerPoint presentation & Word documents respectively..

If you dont have these programs which are both Microsoft then they wont open. You can go to their website & download viewers for these attachments in emails that allows you to view only.
