unable to uninstall software

Usually, in cases where a program will not "orderly" uninstall using the Control panel remove feature, if you reinstall the program it will add the needed files to uninstall.  However, since you say the CD was corrupted was it just the bluetooth didn't work correctly or did the program have errors in it?  If it was just errors, try reloading the program, if you still have it, and then again try an uninstall.  If you no longer have the program you will have to manually uninstall the program on the hard drive (probably in the Programs File Folder).  If there are any program items in the startup you will have to disable them.  That is about as far as you can go unless you edit the registry and I don't recommend that unless you know what you are doing, as deleting a wrong file can render the system inoperable and a Repair or Reinstall will be required.  However, if you do want to edit the registry, backup the registry first.  Another option, after you have manually uninstall the program and the startup is a registry repair program.  I don't usually recommend them as they too can cause problems but many have used them successfully.

If the above advice does not work, try a restore to a date prior to installing blue tooth.  Are you certain that your copy of blue tooth is not counterfeit?  That might expalain your problems.  Is your computer bluetooth ready?  If it is, did you activate the bluetooth network?
