unblock/block what does this mean

im not sure on this but when i downloaded my photobucket bucketuploader to my pc it gives some kinda opition when i right click on properties to check the box unblock or block cause the file comes from another computer and this protects your system and i also seen that on a few others so what im wondering is could this cause a problem when im up loading my files to photobucket? because my pictures will not resize They use to when i was using photobucket on my gateway xp

It is related to a security feature, when the publisher cannot be verified. For example for .exe files, if you double click to run the program, you might get a security notice 'Publisher could not be verified are you sure you want to run this program?' etc. In such a case you would have the block/unblock buttons on the file's property page and if you click unblock the security notice will no longer appear next time you double click on the file.
 
I don't know what photobucket bucketuploader is, but the if you are sure the file is OK, you can click on unblock. If you do, the options block, unblock no longer appear in the properties page, so you can't block again.

thank you i just wasn't sure about that ive used photobucket for a year now oh by the way photobucket is a place where you can upload your pictures they have free accounts or paid accounts ive just got so many pictures and stuff that i use this site to upload them on to my webpage its a great site to use soon as i can figure out how to use it again:smileyvery-happy:

Thanks. Nice pics! I looked at photobucket home page and they were highlighting a new Windows uploader, in case you did not see that. The download page giving inatall instructions shows that security notice about unknown publisher at step 5. If you had unblocked the downloaded file, you would not see that, it would proceed with the install.
