uninstall install shield update manager

Question

Hello; Install shield update manager was installed on my Dell when I received it, but now it isn't working. It pops up as a blank screen. How can I uninstall this? I looked in add/remove programs and it is not there. Thanks for any help!

Thanks; I tried this and it did not help. Maybe it should just be uninstalled, but I do not know how to do that. suggections?

OK- I tried both and the patch did not help and when I removed it, it re-installed itself. The program is not bad if it would work.
