Uninstalled USB-root

When I try to install my local printer I missed in the selection of the interfaces the USB interface. Only LPT, COM and FILE are offered. Therefore I tried to unistall the USB-roots. After the second root it seems that I am now locked out of my Dimension5150 with Win XP Media Edition.

After Power on, the usual screen with the installed users occurs. No mouse movement possible, no reaction on key strikes. The LED of the optical mose is on.

When I no change the USB-port, the mouse keeps dark. It doesn't help. The system shows no reaction on mouse movement or key strike.

I have tried out all USB connectors with the mouse, but the LED keeps dark.

Have you tried a system restore? Not reinstall, but click on Start>programs>accessaries>system tools>system restore.

Thank's for the hint. How you can do this without mouse and keyboard?

Any ideas appreciated.

Even on the way of a repair install you have to click a continue and without a working mouse you have no chance.
So I decided to choose a new installation of Windows.
I think the installation was successful.
Even my old data seems to be on the harddisk.
But a lot of things I'm missing.
It is no more possible to set the monitor refresh rate to 75 Hz.
XP only nows one standard monitor.
But keyboard and mouse work now again.

I think I should now install the dell HW-drivers.....
