JMHO, it really doesn't matter. While I've seen comments that the uninstall link in the Programs listing is best, they both use the same uninstaller so the same thing is accomplished either way.
I can't recall ever uninstalling a program from my computer, but I have read accounts of people having some really messy problems either during or after an uninstall. That was the reason for my question. Hopefully I won't have any problems.
Uninstalling a properly installed program normally proceeds without difficulty. The devil will occasionally pop up same as it does occasionally when installing however, it's nothing to fret over. The biggest mistake the novice makes is thinking a program can simply be
deleted...as you would delete a file. This can (and does) lead to a real mess. Either of the methods you mentioned will be fine.

I will remember that. Uninstall, don't delete.
Because I am still evaluating alternative antivirus programs, I haven't yet tried to uninstall Panda Titanium 2004.
Thanks again.
