Unmountable Boot Volume

Okay.

Whenever I try to load windows, I get a blue screen for a fraction of a second, then the computer restarts itself. There's text on the screen, saying something to the effect of "Unmountable Boot Volume". The computer then restarts.

What's going on and how do I fix it?

It's likely your hard drive has failed.  However, clearly you've been up to something else prior.  Why are you trying to load Windows?  What prompted this?

Well, I don't think I have been doing anything wrong, though I defraged my hard drive prior to this. Well, after leaving BIOS, the computer loads windows automatically and after a second into loading it, I get the blue screen and then the computer restarts. I heard I might need a startup disk, though I'm not sure about that.
