Unnecessary Softwares
Good morning,
I would like to remove as many unnecessary softwares from my Dell computer, with Vista, as I can. Two softwares that were added within the last year, and whose uses I do not quite understand are: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Visual C++ 2005.
I use my computer primarily for emails, news, searching the WWW and streaming videos. Does it appear that I need the above softwares?
Thank you,
Nissi1

Hey Nissi1,
If you do not use these 2 software programs listed then delete them from your computer. Especially, if you only use the system for emails, news, searching the WWW and streaming videos.

Hello Dell-Jesse,
Thank you for the information.
Can you please give me an idea what those 2 softwares are used for?

Dell-Jesse,
Please notice, I started this thread signed in as Nissi1, now it has switched me to Nissi2. This fiasco started late last year when I could not sign into the forum with my old credentials. After 2 days of being locked out, entering passwords and email addresses that were deemed invalid, I was forced to create another user name and password, Nissi2, and started posting under those credentials.
After a little time had passed, I was again able to sign-in with my original user name and email address; but with a new password. I posted and asked for assistance, however, I never received a response.
I hope you can assist me with problem also.
Thank you,
Nissi1
