update errors were not installed

For the past month, my dell computer Vista Service Pack 2, will not load certain updates from Windows. It is giving me error codes 643 and 646.  These updates all had to do with Microsoft Office 2007, and for some reason, they will not load stating the above error codes.  I tried turning off my norton antivirus, security, but still won't load.  Cany anyone help.  It used to be so simple, now everything seems to have problems.   Judy.............................
