update printer devices

I am running XP-Home. When I print from Internet Explorer the print is tiny (LexMark 6170); when I print using Mozilla the print is normal. Does this sound like I should update my printer devices? And if so, how do I do that? Thanks for any help coming my way!! :smileywink:

Is this IE7, by any chance?

If so, there's a default IE7 option called "shrink to fit" that Google tells me might be the culprit.  Is it any better if you go into Print Preview and change "shrink to fit" to 100% ?

BTW - downloads for your Lexmark below, but I kinda doubt that's the issue here, especially since the driver was released several years ago:

Thanks Alexandra... I have changed the 'shrink to fit' to 100% and it makes no difference. Besides I shouldn't have to change print options everytime I print from IE7.This is driving me crazy and I contacted IE but haven't been able to search and  find the answer myself; and other than that they wanted $59.00. I'm about ready to pay it and get this pain in the b*tt problem over with! Thanks for your help.

Edit: Sorry Pudgy, typing at the same time.

Best I've been able to find there really isn't a permanent fix for it, but you're not alone.  It really should've been fixed by now.

Or, you could just roll back to IE6 and be a dinosaure like me.  :smileysad:

I searched for a solution for you. This solution is what I found that someone said that works.
