Updates fail if desktop has to reboot

Question

hey,   erver since i have vista all updates that require a reboot after that the updates are installed fail. Up until the reboot everything is fine but once it reboots I get the message 'configuring updates' and after that is done it shuts down again and reboots. Again the same message 'configuring updates' but after that I get the loginscreen.   When I look if the updates are installed I see they have failed. I went to the windos log and get a lot of errors. All contain a staging error (whatever that is) package state: staging  in most cases folowed by operation complete: false (but once or twice there is true) Errorcode: 0X800f0816 rebootoption:false   can anyone give me a solution for my problem? Iread on the net that changing the place of public folders could cause this but also there they dit not give a solution.   I have a Inspiron530 with vista premium, comodo as firewall and avast as visrusscanner and I run spybot S&D.   PS sorry for typing mistakes I am Belgian and I know I type a lot of faults LOL

Thats the problem I dont understand what he means.   For all I know I have not changed a thing on the public folder, what is 'the original state', what would I have to change? what do I change in the registry?   thank you for your quick reply

If you haven't done anything with the Public folder (ie. moved it to a different location), then that's not what is causing your problem. Perhaps someone else will have a suggestions or a solution.

the problem is caused by Comodo firewall pro 3,0   uninstall it and all problems are gone   thank you for your help
