Updates KB828035 & KB824141
Hello , I have a Dell Dimension 8300 Win XP Prof , 512 GB , 200 GB HD . Since october i have 2 updates and they are always coming back . They are KB828035 & KB824141 . If my automaticly update starts it says they are download an install . And if I check I cant find them . If I manual download them I can download and after that I have the message they are not installed . But each time I update those 2 are there . I look and dit a lot off things but I not can resolve the problem . I look already by microsoft and a lot off diferent sites but i dont find a solution for my problem . I called already to Dell but they tell me they dont give software support and i call microsoft they will help my if I pay around 264 euro's . So if anyone have some good tip for me please let me now .

It sounds like the installation of those two updates is failing. As a first step toward correcting the problem, delete the folder C:\Windows\system32\CatRoot2. See if you can then download and install the two updates. If not, see the second item under "Problem Dowloading/Installing a Software (Non-driver)Item" here.
