Updating to SP2 some problems

I have to add to my previous mail another problem: the device manage does not work anymore after updating to SP2 ! Again any suggestion to fix the problem?
Thanks in advance

Most of the problems associated with any upgrade to SP2 (you do know how long this has been out?) are associated with spyware loaded on the system before you did the upgrade and have nothing to do with SP2.

Backup your data and do a clean install and do not connect to the internet until you have a good spyware and AV program loaded.

The process took about 2 hours. Can you suggest a proper link with instruction for clean install (I remember may times this forum suggested such a link)?. Since my DELL disk with WXP SP1 is three year old, will it be necessary to reload all security updates of the last three years?
Does it make sense to remove SP2 and install it again?
My antivirus is McAfee
Thanks

If you are rather tech savy, you can slipstream the SP2 update into the SP1 disc but you can expect about 100 updates to be added.

Check www.msfn.org as they have a good tutorial on how to do this process.
