Upgrade quickbooks, now computer shuts down

Question

I have a Dimension XPS Generation 3,Windows XP Home,I tried upgrading my quickbook from 2007 to 2008. Now when I try to start my computer it shuts down right away. I started in safemode and restored to before the upgrade. Tried this upgrade a couple of time- same problem. Intuit support is closed for the weekend, was hoping to get bookwork down over the weekend-HELP!!
