UpGrade to VISTA & MS Application Compatibility Toolkit

After haveing gone through a lot of driver down load issues and compatible querries,
Can any body advice me if this down load available from Microsoft site called "Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit" would be helpful for a single home desktop computer with a computer not so literate household [father & Mother new to computer with both children are under 8 years old!!]

I see that is no use for me. Thanks for that.
[I just thought that MS ACT will find me the necessary driver updates as and when they are updated!!. You can see how much I know of computer!!:smileyvery-happy:]

You can get it here but why do you want it? It (as the article says) is a tool for developers, vendors and IT professionals.

No, this tool won't find (or notify you) of driver updates. Your best bet is to make note of the version numbers of all of your currently installed drivers and then check from time to time on the Dell site to see if newer drivers are available and whether or not you need them.
 
There are a few utilities that you can download from the web that will check on the availability of drivers, but most of them are not free and basically, you can do the same job yourself.
