USB Blue Screen problem -possible fix

Question

I have a number of machines that blue screen when plugging in usb memory sticks. Normally the error No. is 0x00000035.

Try this as a fix (it worked for me)

Start Button -> Right Click My Computer ->Properties ->Advanced Tab ->Performence Settings button->Data Execution Tab->Turn on DEP for all programs except those I listed here (Bottom button of the 2) ->Apply

Restart your machine when prompted.

Just for clarification, did you list any exceptions or only checked that box? Ron

Just left it blank. Did not list any exceptions at all.     Hope this helps
