user disabled - can't logon to windows
I recently disabled what I thought was a useless user id - now I cannot sign on to windows - how can I fix this??

See if you are able to long on as system administrator. In XP Home you must do this in Safe Mode, in XP Pro you can do it in Normal Mode. At the Welcome screen press Ctrl-Alt-Delete twice. Enter Administrator as the user name and leave the password blank. (It should be blank by default.) If you are able to log on go to Start|Control Panel|User Accounts and establish a new administrator account for yourself.
