using groups in outlook express 6

Using OE 6.  I have created a group called band members.  When I am creating an email to the band members group, the name band members appears in my To: line.  Since my own email is in the selected group, when I receive the email all the names of the members in the group show up in the To: line, and I am assuming that is what shows up when the other members in the group receive the email.  In other words, they see all the names to whom the email was sent.  I am able to use Outlook at work and when I receive messages that are sent to a large grouping, just the name of the group (such as band members) appears in the To: line.  Is there a way to do that with OE 6?  Now I do understand that with Outlook one can click on the group name to expand the To: line to then see all the names to whom the email was sent, so I am not really hiding much.  So to clarify, I do not really want to hide all the names by using the Bcc line, I just would like to know if there is a way that the recipient just sees band members in their To: line????

Send a test email and then ask some of the people in the list if the to line has all the names, or just the group name, maybe this only does it for the sending account. I do not see any additional setting for this.
