Validating OEM software

Last year, I purchased Dell 3000 with all it's periferal software. It came with an OEM 1 year usable/renewable subscription to "Norton, Symantec anti-virus protection". After 1 year, I didn't renew but purchased and loaded "Norton Symantec System Works premier 2005", from; Nothingbutsoftware.com To take advantage of the rebate I must print proof of the OEM install. I've already deleted the old software using the control panel because the "pop up renewal add" continued to show itself even after I loaded the new software. All Dells support activites have failed. They tell me I didn't buy security software and can't help me. Finally telling me I can go to the PAY FOR help desk. I'm beginning to wonder if Dell and a $30.00 Norton rebate was worth it. Sugesstions please. Tom

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm pretty sure there's nothing you can do. You've already erased your proof.

But that doesn't mean Dell can't. They should know what they are selling promo or not. Just validate that I did have the OEM. I contactedNorton and there rfesponse was to get the help from Dell. Oh well. Thanks for taking the time. Tom

Do you happen to have your original invoice from Dell? It should list the software that came on your Dell.
