Check for Downloads under the Product Support tab at the top-left of these pages.

The latest video driver for the I2500 is A03 released 10/01. You might also wish to try running Dell Diagnostics, which will test the system independantly of Windows.

What is the model of your monitor ?

Do you know if your system needs to have the chipset drivers installed manually, that is to say, after the install of XP ?

This is the link to the Dell I2500/XP Reinstall Guide.

This is the link to all the Downloads available for the I2500 running XP. Dell Diagnostics for the I2500 is there.

There is plenty of other good info in the Product Support area also. (User and Service Manuals, Original and Current System Configuration, ...)

I have the same problem, the solution offered in the previous posts don't seem to help. After re-installing Windows XP pro and updating to SP2, the computer will reboot to a black screen, the only workaround is to boot in safe mode... Has the original poster been able to solve the problem yet? Please post more suggestions.

Thanks,

//Jay
