Vista Upgrade Eligibility

Start date was October 26, 2006 through March ??, 2007. Those are the inclusive dates. If you bought on or after Oct 26 you qualify if before Oct 26 you don't.

I bought the system on 20 Oct a few days before the anouncement.

I found out only by reading the newspapers that dell offer the upgrade

I am emailing to dell about this. I hoping dell would be flexible and give me the free upgrade

You can try but I don't think it'll do any good. I doubt they'll even respond to your email. Various other posts stating same question.

I purchased mine the day before it kicked in, I called the upgrade number a couple weeks ago and they told me they were offering 50% off the retail price for people who missed the date.  I don't know how far back they're offering for I would think at least til the being of Oct.

I got my XPS 700 (which I'm sorry I bought now after reading the official XPS 700 thread and which I'm ready to throw out the window) delivered on 10/26. I used the unresolved issues emailbox and I got 50% off the Ultimate version upgrade.

 

Good luck. I'm seriously thinking of selling my XPS 700 and getting the XPS 410. Anyone interested in buying it?
