Vista won't load
I have an Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista. It has been working fine all along, but while burning a CD, the battery ran out, and the computer shut down. Now, when trying to restart the computer, it will not get past the "loading" screen, with the little green bars running across.
I have hit F8 and tried to start from Safe Mode, but it will not. I have tried to start from last known good configuration, but it will not. Any ideas? There is about two weeks worth of work that will be lost, so I really don't want to reformat the hard drive if I don't have to.
Thanks in advance!

Try removing the battery and powering up just on the mains power adapter. May not work but worth a try.
Good luck.

You could try the Vista Startup Repair.
You will need the Dell Vista DVD, mine is a 'mucky brown' colour.
