My recommendation is to deinstall McAfee and download either of the free AVG or aVast anti-virus programs. They are NOT bloatware like McAffee and won't slow your system down like McAfee and Norton do. And they are FREE - forever!
I've used AVG for several years and it works great. I have only just started using aVast on my 64-bit Vista (because there is no free AVG for 64-bit Vista) and it is working fine.
BOTTOM LINE: If system performance is important to you, NEVER use McAffee or Norton! Good luck.
