Roxio has a forum. Have you checked that to see if it's been asked. If not, post a question there, rather than their tech support.
The OEM versions of XP are identical to the Retail versions - just where the support comes from is different. They both get the same updates from Microsoft.
ADDED: One other thought - whether it's related to your problem or not. You can only have one "UDF" program installed at one time. If you have more than one there can be conflicts and problems. The Roxio UDF program is "Drag to Disc" and the Sonic program is "DLA" (and Nero is "InCD"). If your new PC came with Sonic and either you didn't uninstall DLA or you installed Roxio including Drag to Disc that can be a source of potential problems.
Thank you for your response. Do I have to uninstall Sonic Record it now to uninstall DLA or can I leave Record It Now on the system? I don't see an option that lets me just unsinstall either DLA in Record it Now or to Uninstall Drag to Disk in Nero. Thanks again!
I had this very same message come on my computer a few days ago. I found mine was from Logitech's Desktop Messenger (which I had never used). I unstalled it in Add/Remove and everything seems to be running ok. Be sure to set a restore point before making any changes. Hope this info will help you. If I remember right, the message gave me a link for help. When I clicked on it that is where I found my problem was Logitech's Destop Messenger.
I'm sorry, that I don't know. I only know I was able to take care of what was causing my Runtime Error message. Also, included at the bottom of my error message was "Plese contact the applications support team for more information." I had no clue what the application was. However, I did have a "Help" button which identified what my problem was and what to do about it. Sorry I can't be of more help and I sure hope you get it fixed. Let me know. I care.
