What can I expect in reinstalling XP?

I have a Dell Dimension 8300 with a wole lot of various programs. I mention these as I do not want to reload them to.
My speed is 2.8Gz, with 1.5G ram.
Now:
1. To install MS SP2 it says to have my XP disk ready. I have the Dell CD Reinstallation disk but if I need to put this one in will it get what it needs when I install SP2?
2. If I were to want to reinstall XP from this disk do I need to install all my drivers, all my programs, in other words like starting all over again.

I reall don't know what to expect?

Thanks
Arthur

2. If I were to want to reinstall XP from this disk do I need to install all my drivers, all my programs, in other words like starting all over again.

Yes . . it is like starting all over again . . This is a great guide for reinstalling on a Dell:  http://www.djdenham.com/Install%20Procedures.htm

Take a look at this to see what you can do to minimize problems when you upgrade to SP2

good luck . . wrs
