What is Data Interface in Other Devices? / printer problem

Any thoughts on this one? TIA, John   Running Vista 32-bit Enterprise...In the Device Manager, under Other Devices, I see a device called DataInterface.  It's current state is:'The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)'I don't know what this is or how to find a driver for it, but I suspect thatit is causing problems with my Dell 946 AIO printer install.  The printdrivers install fine, and I can print with no problems.  What I can't do isinstall the All-In-One Dell software that enables me to control the scannerfunctions.
